CardiosynthesisOn a scavenger hunt
for anything resembling a heart
I cut my palm
on the bent hinges
of the rusted metal hatch
you call a chest.

Blood drops seep through
and begin to gather
as I find my limbs tangled
in the uncoiling red and blue network
of wires
spilling from your abdomen.

Short circuit,
maybe a time or two,
but the satellite syncing clock
behind the dying diodes of your eyes
sputters a quick series
of vanishing and reappearing digits
counting down
to the moment it all becomes
a total system failure.

I can't figure it out,
why I continue to bang my skull
against the steel spring
of your neck
as if anything I could say or do
would transfo
The Paradox of TruthI want to love you without hesitation,
beyond the scope
of prying eyes and whispering lips
that make us twist
and contort our bones
until we shrink down into nothingness.
Your skin contains secrets,
the breadth of which I ache to learn.

I feel you
welling up inside of my chest
and threatening
to burst out through my lips
in flowing streams of promises
and declarations
of devotion, of desire
and I am frightened
that there is reciprocity in your eyes.

Your supple form
sways like a taunting pendulum,
the hypnotic roll of your denim hips
draws me in
and leaves me hollow with hunger
for your delicate glory.
My tongue hammers
against the inside o
Huntington Beach RendezvousI want to memorize
the sublime wash of your caress
crashing gently
against the shivering shore
of my barrier beach body
until the shining pearl stairway
fades from the doorstep
of the ever-vigilant moonlight sentinel.

The white tipped crescents
of your waving fingers
stir the vortex of my sea snail heart
to slither and slink
until your sunrise mouth
gilds the coastal peaks of my
spinal column dunes.

There is a tenderness
writhing in your pink sky glances
that bids rise
to the Santa Ana winds
sweeping out across your sea
from the parting clouds
of my sun-kissed lips.

The delicate erosion
of my storm battered form
is quelled
by the salty, oc
StargazerHe loved
the way her extra-stellar body pulsed
like a dying star
when the sun danced
along
her ivory silhouette.

He created constellations
from her freckles
with the wet dipper
of his tongue
whilst she dreamed
of supernova kisses
and the gossamer tendrils
of interstellar fingertips
that illuminate
the dark side of her body
like the aurora borealis.

He was caught within the traction
of her unyielding gravity
as she spun, unwieldy
in the orbit of his tilted axis
kamikaze crush.

       Their sonic boom
       burst like solar flares blooming
       from the vast blackness
       of their hollow throats
       in a kaleidoscope of screami
ExtinguishThe fractured porcelain
of your red smeared flesh
haphazardly begs
for the hammering of fists
and the pinching snare
of hungry teeth
and whirling tongues;
You are the main course
and I
haven't eaten for days.

The cracked glass
of your blank stare
looks so beautiful
framed in the swell
of black and blue and red,
the matching set
of this bruised patchwork
of disjointed knuckles.

Some people like the pain,
and others need it,
but you can't stand to live
without the jab
of this jagged thorn in your side
and the nostalgic ache
throbbing
through your body
every morning that you awaken
to remember
that we cannot die
if we have never truly lived...
Creeping WaveI can hear your thoughts,
the electronic stutter-static-speech
of a dying radio signal
drifting through the copper coil
of my brain.

At night,
your wireless whispers
reverberate through the ether
as the stars
rise up in silver dust defiance
like lantern fish
surfacing in the blackness
of the midnight pacific.

I breathe the dark ink
of your soundless scrawls
and feel the tingle
of your deep frequency
like a missing limb,
a phantom ache
throbbing throughout my entirety.

The hushed hum
of your melodious murmurs
drip slowly
from the needle of your tongue
against my ear
and every sound
is scratched into my skin
until every inch
and every coursi
